Many were injured in the blast at the Mile 3 market in Port Harcourt

Several people were exposed to varying degrees of injuries after an explosion rocked parts of the Mile 3 Market in the local government area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, in the early hours of Monday, May 31.

Fortunately, no lives were lost in the accident, but several people who were running in search of safety were seriously injured.

Rivers State Police Command spokesperson, SP. Nnamdi Omoni said the police were on their way to the scene to verify what had happened.
